About

I believe that psychotherapy can be helpful to create growth, improve relationships, improve coping skills and understand maladaptive patterns in one's life. Often people come to me because they've reached a crisis point or just feel stuck in a situation that they feel they cannot change. Therapy creates a safe place for one to recognize and explore issues and to develop new solutions and strategies. I provide personalized, compassionate care for adults, adolescents and couples seeking change using a variety of techniques to meet each patient's needs. I'm trained in several therapeutic disciplines including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Brief Relational Therapy (BRT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and psychodynamically-oriented therapist. I've worked with a wide variety of issues and mental health diagnoses and have experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. I went to the New School in New York City for my Ph.D. in clinical psychology. I completed my internship at Mount Sinai Beth Israel and then completed a year-long postdoctoral position at Mt. Sinai St. Luke's, where I specialized in the treatment of individuals with both mental health and medical diagnoses. I then worked at Mount Sinai's Institute for Advanced Medicine in New York City as part of a comprehensive treatment team for individuals living with HIV, who are at risk for HIV or who are part of the LGBTQIA spectrum. I then moved to New Orleans, where I worked in private practice for several years. I now see of adults, young adults and couples in Pittsburgh, PA. I'm licensed to see clients via telehealth in New York, Louisiana, and Pennsylvania. I'm also licensed through PsyPact, so I'm able to provide telehealth to clients in any of the states listed here: https://psypact.gov/mpage/psypactmap If you feel we might be a good fit, please reach out for an initial consultation.
